Marriott Vacations Worldwide Honored for Advancing Gender Diversity in the Boardroom 

Recognized by Women Executive Leadership with Elevate Award  

ORLANDO, Fla. – Oct. 20, 2022 — Marriott Vacations Worldwide, a leader in leisure travel with a portfolio of trusted, globally recognized travel brands and vacation clubs, has received an Elevate Award from Women Executive Leadership (WEL) Florida for their role in accelerating the advancement of gender diversity in the boardroom and corporate leadership. 

As a leisure-focused company, Marriott Vacations Worldwide is in the business of bringing people together. Like our customers, our associates exemplify diversity with women comprising 54% of our worldwide workforce and 46% of management-level positions. Additionally, women leaders comprise 30% of our executive leadership team and 30% of our Board of Directors.

Additionally, last month Marriott Vacations Worldwide hired its first-ever associate director to lead inclusion and diversity initiatives across the enterprise.  

The Elevate Award comes on the heels of Marriott Vacations Worldwide being ranked fourth on Newsweek’s Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces® list and No. 1 in the hospitality sector. Women Executive Leadership (WEL) Florida is a non-profit organization that advocates, educates and connects accomplished executive women and prepares a census of top public companies headquartered in Florida, as listed by net revenue, according to Florida Trend Magazine.
